My Makeup Picks

I know whenever I decided to start REALLY doing my makeup (instead of just eyeliner), I didn't really know where to go or what to buy or how to pick. So I thought I'd do a post on the makeup I use. WARNING: You're going to see a lot of Urban Decay!

1. Sigma Brushes - This is the essential kit which retails at $89. I've heard these being compared to MAC, but I wouldn't know. I just got these today, but have already used some of them and these are by far my favorite. Very soft, easy to use, great application. If you decide to buy these, google for a coupon first. I found one for 10% off.

2. Urban Decay NAKED Palette - I really really like this palette. This was perfect for me. I don't like to do crazy colors, and probably wouldn't know what to do with them if I had them. I'm really a neutral eyeshadow person. I only use maybe 7 of these tops, but they're great colors. I really want NAKED 2. I feel like I'd use all of those.

3. L'oreal Infallible Makeup - I currently have about 5 different foundations in my makeup cabinet. One being a pricer Urban Decay cream foundation. This is my favorite. Great even coverage no matter what I use to apply it, and doesn't look cakey.

4. Urdan Decay Bronzer - This gives a nice glow without being too shimmery.

5. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Love this stuff. I think I got this with my NAKED palette, but I honestly can't remember. This is the tiny bottle. I've had it about 4 or 5 months and am now on my last little bit. This makes any eyeshadow stand out and stay on.

6. Urban Decay Super Curling Mascara - LOVE this stuff. My favorite mascara hands down, and I've tried a lot. This has a curled wand. It lengthens, thickens, and curls your eyelashes. Definitely recommend this.

7. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray - This stuff is great. Very light scent that is gone after it dries. Really does help to set your makeup.

8. Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion - Maybe I'm strange, but I only use black eyeliner. When I was 13/14 I'd occasionally use an emerald or navy, but brown has never stood out enough for me. Anyway, this stuff is great. Goes on easily, easy to control brush, and it stays on even until the next day (although the next day it tends to be sticky. Not sure why? Not like you'd want to leave it on that long). I'll admit, if this gets in your eyes, in burrrrrrrns. Just shake it well and get all the excess off, though, and you're sure not to get it in your eyes. I wouldn't recommend this for the waterline.

9. Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner - I've used this stuff for 5 years now. It's my favorite. Goes on smoothly, although it will transfer to your upper lid if that's all you're wearing. It's a twist up crayon, which I like because I can never manage to keep a pencil sharpener. I use black.

10. Maybelline ColorSensational in Warm Latte - This is the lipstick I wear most. I do have to reapply it pretty often, but this is my favorite color. I do occasionally wear pinkish colors, but with my olivey skin, this is what I'm most comfortable with. I'm still working on branching out into pinks and reds.
